Erin Spoiler Alert!!! I posted your card, if you want to be surprised, don't look at my blog!

One of my best friends lives down in Texas, and her birthday is this week. I am mailing her package tomorrow, and I HAD to post her card, so Erin, if you see this before you get it, so sorry...but I did give ya the warning in the title...I didn't do these colors because she has a December birthday, but because she loves these 2 colors together. Happy Early Birthday, if you're reading this!

Recipe:

I used some random Christmas paper and Whisper White and Real Red cardstock.

I combined the Party Hearty stamp set and the Big Bold Birthday stamp set.

I used Real Red ink, Old Olive ink, Kiwi Kiss ink, and Summer Sun ink (for the candle flame)

I used Martha Stewart chunky glitter (LOVE this stuff) for the cupcake top and doubled up on pop dots for the top of the cupcake, just used a single one for the bottom part.

I used some ribbon from Roberts that is Olive colored and is totally YUMMY.

Lastly, I used my scallop circle punch for the celebrate. I think that's it!

Baby boy and baby girl cards

Wow, it gets busy with the holidays, right? I feel like I have zero time to craft unless my kids are asleep, which means that I stay up until 3 a.m. getting some 'me' time. Here are a couple of baby cards I made last night just to have on hand. These went together fast because I dug into my scrap box and used only scrap paper for these.
Baby Boy card:
Paper: Chocolate chip, Making Memories argyle, whisper white, Blissful Blue, tan from ??
Stamps: Nursery Necessities
Inks: Barely Banana, Blissful Blue, White Craft, Old Olive
Techniques: Cut out sailboat and used pop dots on each piece, large star punch for the star, hand cut the moon. The large circle is a Marvy Punch, and the water is the negative scraps from using the scallop edge punch. I was a little unhappy with how this turned out, but you get the gist, right? :)
Baby Girl Card:
Paper: Whisper White, Making Memories Pink polka dotted and square frame
Inks: Chocolate Chip, Kiwi Kiss
Stamps: Nursery Necessities
Techniques: Scallop edge punch
Accessories: Flower button from Hobby Lobby

Yay! It worked!

OK, now for details for this card. I made these for my BF, who had her little darling on October 1st. I really love this card, I used the chick from the Nursery Necessities set, and the paper is by Making Memories. I also used the brown glitter paper and the glittered brad from Doodlebugs (LOVE their product). I used Kiwi Kiss ink, along with Pretty in Pink. The ribbon you see sticking out of the side is attached to the baby pic, and the brown card opened up to reveal the baby's stats and a poem that I made up for her. So sweet!

Baby Announcement

OK, I have tried posting this card at least 3 times, I am going to try it ONE LAST TIME and that's it...

I've envied the other stamping blogs long enough...

I am creating this blog to showcase my junk...the things that I create, which are not nearly created as often as I'd like. Also, to keep track of all of the excellent blogspots that some of you chickies have out there. I really admire a lot of you and wonder how on earth you find the time for such an extensive outpouring of creativity. Someday....
